Pre-selling - The Online Money Spinning Marketing Tool

No one likes being sold to. The prospect believes you are in it for yourself. Hence, the antagonisms often shown to salesmen.

There is a way round this. And that is pre-selling

What is pre-selling? This is the subtle act of providing useful or educative information before hand that will progress to a sale.

For example, assuming you are selling a book on affiliate marketing. You can write an article titled "5 ways to increase your affiliate checks."At the end of the article you then put a link to your e-book that shows the prospect how to turbo-charge his affiliate checks. Upon reading the article, he then clicks your bio-signature link which leads to a landing page that leads to the product. It has be shown be a great way to sell. At least, it does work on the author!

Pre-selling is an art but can surely be learned. It is commonly used in bio-signatures by authors when writing articles. If the reader of the article believes the author has more information to offer them, they now click on the link in his bio which links up to the authors desired landing page. What ever product or service the author intends to sell at this stage may well be considered sold.

What is essential in pre-selling is to tickle the curiosity of your prospect. That is the first goal.

How do you tickle the interest? As earlier mentioned, by providing useful information.

This should not be difficult. Think of the products you are currently marketing and your mind will find useful tips to give your prospects.

What follows this is for the prospect to read your article. Make sure the information provided inside is useful. Note that the more useful it is, the more likely he will purchase any product you intend selling. Ensure therefore it is of high quality.

The next step which is the bread and butter is to add a bio-signature at the end of the article. This bio-signature must tickle the interest of the prospect further to impel a click on your link which will lead to the product that is being sold.

Once the prospect has clicked the link, the writer may soon be smiling to the bank.

It has proven to be a powerful form of marketing and all marketers should therefore adopt it

So the next time you think of selling, first think pre-sell!

3 Steps for an Effective Website Promotion

Driving traffic to your website and promoting it is not easy. There are millions of websites in the internet and chances are about a hundred or a hundred thousand of those could be your competitors. Therefore, it is important that you heed these 3 steps for an effective website promotion.

It is imperative that your website should be found in almost every search engine results, social networking websites, and broadcasting websites. You have to understand that the internet's attraction springs from the fact that it has everything. A person would only have to key in words or phrases and he would have access to any information that he wants to have.

With the internet, one doesn't have to wait for the news on the tube to get the latest weather report. One need not open a cookbook to get a recipe. Because of this inherent usefulness of the internet, the number of internet users has rapidly grown and expanded. With this growth in the number of internet users, however, came an equally rapid increase in the number of businesses jockeying for the internet market's attention and patronage.

--- The Importance of Web Traffic ---

You need to bring your customers attention to your website if you want your business to thrive. There are no ifs and buts about it. Your e-business can survive only if your website is generating traffic. Traffic means potential customers. Your website's traffic is the lifeblood of your business.

Your website should be accessible to your intended consumers. This is a way for you to obtain a high percentage of the market size. It is very important, therefore, to promote your site so that more potential customers will be drawn to it. There are many ways to promote your website and a mixture of methods would be more advisable. Here are the steps for an effective web promotion.

Step 1: You should have a promotion budget

When you are trying to launch a web promotion campaign, you should have a budget, no matter how stringent. With online advertising though, you can use a lot of methods without spending thousands of dollars in advertising expenses.

Utilize free forms of online advertisements. Do not spend money on anything that could be done for free. Instead, channel your funds to your website improvement, for web-based applications and other natural internet marketing expenses. Pay for advertisements on parts of your websites that are not accessible to non-members. Do not advertise for the part of your website that people can get free access to.

Step 2: Employ website promotion strategies

You should use all possible promotional strategies available to you. You should promote your website to an existing market. Be consistent in promoting your website. Let your market know that your website exists. Make sure that you are promoting your website to your target market.

What is the point of advertising for different shades of lip gloss if your website is getting more hits from men? Concentrate on generating targeted traffic. Every thing you do must be aimed at generating more traffic for your website, so it is best if you would utilize the services offered by popular web promotion brands.

Step 3: Use different methods of promotion

You should use different methods of promoting your website. Write articles that you could post in your website or you could submit in other websites. Informative articles that are useful to people would arouse people's curiosity and interest. Make sure that you optimize your site for the search engines. Create blog posts using words or phrases that people would usually key in search engines when looking for something. Build your network through social networking sites.

There are a lot of methods that you can use. The idea is to use multiple methods and to use them well.

How to Promote a Website with Offline Advertising Part II

Setting the stage from part I; the discussion was about a golf site you have. You have contacted other golfers who may want what you have to offer because they have problems such as a slice or putting 'yips', if they know that you are local and easily approachable. Who knows, it might even be the beginning of a new local business for you. Simply ask the golf clubs if your can put up a poster. The club pros might object, but that is when you have to show your salesmanship and perhaps even bring the pro into a joint venture that would benefit both of you.

For example, ask him or her to write up an ebook about how to cure some of the more common problems that the average golfer comes across. You do the marketing and they do the writing for a 50/50 split. They can promote the products to their club members, and you can do it online. Perfect!

Have you ever though of advertising in your local press? This can often be quite productive, though a lot depends on the product you are selling. If it's a skill such as car mechanics, language tuition or party items, then it could be very productive. If you have personal skills in any of these you could also find a good local customer base for what you have to offer. Some businesses, such as personal tuition of any form, cry out for local advertising. Most local newspapers have a classified ads section that you can use for this.

List Building Tips - 3 Cutting Edge List Building Tips

Many people who are new to doing business on the internet are
in need of good list building tips in order to help them
    achieve success.

What follows are some very useful list building tips that will
have you up and running in a very short amount of time.

List Building Tips #1 - Do a cross promotion for your list.

Find 10-20 people who are also building a list within your
    target market.

Write them a short email outlining your plan of attack which
is for each of you to send out a promotion and endorse each
    others lists.

To do this, you write up a pre written endorsement for your
list, and allow the other joining members of your promotion
use it to send out to their lists.

You do the same in return.

This is one of those list building tips that can literally add
hundreds of names to your list real fast.

List Building Tips #2 - Post to forums for maximum results.

Using forums is one of the more underused list building tips
because the people that are actually posting to forums do not
how many different list building tips.

What you do is search out a few forums on your subject of
interest or the product that you are selling.

Once you have joined the forums, begin reading and getting
yourself used to the feel of the board.

Then you can start by answering a few of the posts.

Now to make this work for you, all you need to do is place a
small 3-4 line signature file at the end of each of your posts.

The signature file is nothing more than a link to your list
    building page.

When readers of your posts get their answers, they will see your
ad and click to your website.

This is one of those list building tips that you should use to
    it's full potential.

List Building Tips #3 - Make use of craigslist.org.

Of all the list building tips you will read, this is the one
    that has been kept secret.

    Atleast until now.

One of the best websites to build your list with is by going
    over to http://craigslist.org

This website gets thousands of visitors each day and is basically
nothing but a free classified ad site.

But it has one thing that most of these types of sites lack and
    that is traffic.

    Huge amounts of traffic.

The best way to use craigslist is to offer a free report and have
them click onto your website and enter their name and email address.

You should try and post to this site atleast two times per week to get
    the best results.

If you use all of the above list building tips, you should see a big
jump in the number of people on your list.

    Targeted Internet Traffic Secrets

Getting targeted internet traffic is becoming a lot more
difficult than before. Google has introduced Trustrank
which gives older web sites preferential treatment and you
need to have high quality sites linking to you for Google
to trust you. This has made acquiring targeted internet
traffic a very long and complicated procedure with many new
web sites having to wait a year before they start receiving
targeted internet traffic. Now if you are running a business
with bills to pay this can be a highly frustrating
experience. I am going to show you a way to receive highly
targeted internet traffic within the space of a few days.

There are certain web sites which have been around a long
time and Google and the other search engines trust these
web sites. The technique that you will use here is to
created optimized classified adverts with content
customized for your keywords with the keywords in the title
and three to four times in the body. This will ensure that
the search engines rank your adverts for the specified
keywords. Ensure that your adverts are at least 300
characters in length as search engines love valuable
    content.

My favourite classified web site is Craigslist and Google
loves this web site. Sign up for an account and post your
advert. Usually adverts are online within 15 minutes as the
adverts are not moderated. However follow the guidelines
and only post in the relevant category. Otherwise you will
get your advert flagged by one of the Craigslist users and
it will be deleted. Do keyword research and target medium
traffic keywords with little or no competition. Using this
technique your adverts will be indexed and found in search
engines within the space of a few days.

Implementing this strategy can be highly beneficial. Focus
on writing a certain amount adverts for targeted keywords.
You will find your adverts listed in the search engines and
start receiving highly targeted internet traffic. Create a
specified amount of adverts every month and you could
easily increase your income by $600 every month.

Free Website Traffic - The Pros And The Cons

Have you ever tried to get free traffic to your website? I'm sure you have!

Getting tons of free traffic sounds like a dream for many webmasters. After all, to get free marketing means any revenue you make is pure profit! That is why many Internet marketers use free traffic sources whenever and wherever they can.

Free traffic is great for one obvious reason – it saves money. If you can milk as much of free traffic, then your business will only become more and more profitable. For example, writing articles for ezines is a great way to get brand recognition for your business and visitors to your site. In fact, article publishing is probably one of the best ways to get free traffic.

However, free traffic comes at a price. The traffic may not be so targeted. And if you use free traffic sources like traffic exchanges, they will take up a lot of your time as you have to surf around the sites to acquire credits that will allow your site to be shown to others. Services like safelists are also very untargeted, as thousands of users are just blasting their ads out to each other.

Free traffic and I do recommend using sources of free traffic in your business. After all, it is free! Combine it with paid traffic strategies like Adwords and ezine advertising. Use it as one of your traffic strategies, not your main one, and you'll do just fine, creating a flood of traffic that will make your business profitable!

5 Steps To A Successful Online Business

There are several ways to make money online but the best, long term way is to sell products, either your own or someone else's online. Any business that involves recruiting members to generate income and "get-rich-quick" type schemes is basically a scam. The only way to make a stable, ongoing income where your customers will buy regularly from you is to create your own business.

    1. The first step to online business is deciding on a product or set of products to sell. There's no limit to what you can sell, you can choose one product, several products (a family of related products) or a large array of products (like a catalogue). Spend some time researching your favorite topics online, get an idea of the type of product and the size of your potential market. Is it something you'd like to sell?, because the internet is such a big place, there are people willing to buy just about anything.

    2. Once you have determined what you are going to sell, you need a web site to sell it from, however you may initially choose to sell someone else's product. In that case, you will become their affiliate and be given a special affiliate link to their site so that you don't need a web site at all. The disadvantage of not having your own web site is that all of your prospective customers get funneled through the merchant's site, sure you get credited for the sale but it's only a one off. I don't know about you but what do you think will earn more money in the long term?, a one off front end sale from a customer you'll never see again, or several sales from that same customer who is now on your list and you can market to on a regular basis. If you are an affiliate, look at investing in your own web site, capture their email address with a squeeze page then recommend quality merchants products, that way you not only get the sale but the opportunity to continue selling to them for as long as they remain your subscriber.

    3. Once you get to the stage of collecting email addresses through your web site or squeeze page, an auto responder becomes an indispensable tool in helping you keep in contact with your subscribers. Research shows that it takes an average of 7 follow-up letters to make a sale, that's why it's so important not to settle on a one-off, front end sale when it's by the 7th contact letter that your subscriber is more likely to purchase, see how much you'd be leaving on the table if you did not create your own list?

    4. After you have set up the web site and auto responder, the next thing you need to do is send traffic to your site. There are many ways to do that, some more effective than others. Some that work particularly well are press releases, articles, classified ezine ads, and Joint Venture email partners. Test each method and see what works better for you. Bear in mind that any form of advertising you do will need to be tested and tweaked before it will become profitable.

    5. In order to perfect your advertising once you have all of those things in place, you must track and test everything you do. You must know what forms of advertising you used, what worked, what did not, what needs minor or major adjustment to work. The more you test and improve, the more successful your business will be.

Remember everyone makes mistakes when first starting out. There is no perfect way to make money online, there are several ways, as time goes on you'll learn what suits your style and what works for you, once you get to that point, you scale it and duplicate more of what works, this is what makes a successful marketer.

Follow these steps and you'll be well on your way to a successful online business.

How to Build a Successful Business Affiliate Program for Beginners

If you've just started your online business and you're getting increasingly alarmed about the amount of money you're spending on advertising – which unfortunately seems to get you nowhere close to even the first ten pages of search engine results for the primary keywords used in your website – don't you know that there's a cost-efficient way of gaining advertising and building traffic for your site which has a very high success rate?

The answer: building a business affiliate program.

A business affiliate program is a marketing strategy that allows you to hire as many affiliates interested in joining your program in a commission basis. Think of it as having a company that employs sales agents and paying them only when they sell something.

Benefits of a Business Affiliate Program

A LARGE ACTIVE WORKFORCE – You may be a small-sized business but designing the right business affiliate program technically allows you to have as large a workforce as possible and the best thing about it is that probably each and every one of them is actively working in marketing your products and services.

EARN FIRST, PAY AFTER – A business affiliate program doesn't require you to give your affiliates base pay every month. Yes, of course, you're grateful that they're working so hard but you're nonetheless under no obligation to pay them for their effort. This is standard for all business affiliate programs: payment is only made when there's a corresponding action.

INFINITE POTENTIAL FOR GROWTH – There is no limit to what a business affiliate program could do for your company. It can grow beyond your wildest expectations as long as you continue to deal professionally with your affiliates. Be aware however the growth potential of your business affiliate program is also directly proportional to product or service development. But more about that later on.

CONTINUOUS TRAFFIC – The very first thing that having a business affiliate program can contribute to you is traffic. Every time a person clicks on your link in an affiliate website, he or she is immediately directed to your website. Visitors may not buy anything from you in the end but at least you've achieved one important objective and that's to make them aware your business exists! Some companies wouldn't ask even any more than that!

How to Make a Business Affiliate Program that Works

GREAT PRODUCTS AND SERVICES ARE THE LIFELINE OF A BUSINESS AFFILIATE PROGRAM – Without unique, attractive, beneficial, and useful products and services, there's simply no way for your business affiliate program to succeed. You have to start by giving your affiliates something incredible to sell.

A GROWING COMPANY – A business affiliate program can only enjoy long-term success if you can match this with long-term plans as well. Your products and services must evolve in response to the changing needs of your market. If you're satisfied with a constant rate of success that shows no signs of increasing, don't expect your affiliates to feel the same. All affiliates expect and demand for growth, and if they can't see you offering that to them then they'll simply switch to another program.

THE RIGHT OBJECTIVE – What do you want your business affiliate program to achieve for you? If it's only attention and interest that you need then you should use a pay-per-lead program. If it's higher sales you're after then you should use a pay-per-sale program. It's that simple.

PROVIDE SUPPORT – A good business affiliate program succeeds because of the cooperation between the affiliate merchant – that's you – and its affiliate websites. They help each other obtain mutual success. As the owner of the affiliate program, it's your job to provide as much training – preferably free – and support to your affiliates. There's nothing to lose as well if you invest a few minutes of your time once in a while to check on your affiliates' progress and send them motivational and encouraging emails.

PROFESSIONAL – Last but not the least, a good business affiliate program is professional. This can largely be seen on how it deals with its affiliates. It offers contracts that do not violate any laws and protect their mutual interests. A good business affiliate program offers fair and competitive pay to its affiliates. It utilizes a reliable and efficient tracking system to provide sales reports for its affiliates.

And there you have it, the benefits of a good business affiliate program and how to make one. Good luck!

Guerilla Marketing - Element of Surprise

One of the reasons guerilla marketing works is that
the methods are often unexpected. Many guerilla
campaigns are highly visible, and contain some sort of
element that is unique to the business using it.

Though it is something of a cliché by now, you should
be prepared to "think outside the box" when it comes
to planning your guerilla marketing campaign. The
classic, expensive methods of advertising your
business should be employed sparingly, if at all.
    These include:

    • Yellow page advertisements

    • Newspaper or magazine advertisements

    • Radio or television commercials

Think about it: when is the last time you were heavily
influenced by a yellow page, newspaper, magazine,
radio, or television advertisement? The fact is that
today's consumers are so bombarded with advertising
messages,; they've learned to tune out the traditional
    sources.

As a guerilla marketer, your goal is to catch them
off-guard, and advertise in unexpected places. Many
times, consumers won't even recognize your marketing
    efforts as advertising.

The good news is: you can usually do this for a
fraction of the cost of traditional advertising
venues. Guerilla marketing trades effort for money.
You will work harder on your marketing than a
    mega-corporation with a million-dollar ad budget, but
if you are persistent and creative in your efforts,
    they will pay off.

    It Pays to Be Different

Remember the old Arby's slogan: "Different is Good"?
This catchy little phrase could serve as a basic
premise for one of the primary reasons guerilla
    marketing tactics are so successful.

You might have a product or service that is completely
unique. However, the chances are greater that you're
competing with dozens or hundreds of other businesses
for the same market share. One of the strengths of
guerilla marketing is the ability to capitalize on the
aspect or aspects of your business that make you
different -- and therefore worthy enough for consumers
to spend their hard-earned money on your product or
    service.

So, what's different about your business? Here is a
brief list of possibilities to investigate. Your
    business might offer:

    • The best, friendliest, or most attentive customer
    service.

    • The lowest prices.

    • Products that are higher quality than the
    competition.

    • A wider range of products than other businesses in
    your area or field.

    • The simplest ordering methods.

    • Fast, convenient, and/or reliable delivery.

    • More expertise in your area than your competition.

    • The most informative and easiest to navigate
    website.

This aspect of your business is sometimes referred to
as your USP, or Unique Selling Proposition. Once you
have determined your USP, you know what makes your
business different -- and different is good!

    The Internet Marketer

My grandfather used to tell me stories of the Great Depression, how something as basic as food was such a problem. Soup lines and cross-country job hunting became treacherously routine, just to acquire means of fundamental survival. These were indeed lonely times for many. Families split up, children pressed into service at any level, scratching and surviving their way through life. In todays society we have it quite a bit better. Although morning commutes can be dangerous, most of us have access to our families daily, and a good life. Still, we are not satisfied.

    In the beginning...

"To whom much is given, much is expected," the Bible says. You have talents that are gifts to be shared for the blessing of all. If Rembrandt would have lived in modern times, how many stick figure masterpieces would have graced his moms refrigerator before he "made it?" Needless to say his passion became his livelihood. The man loved to paint.

What do you enjoy doing? Do you even know? I enjoy writing, technology (including gadgets and toys), learning and doing new things. For years I struggled to find one arena where I could apply my talents and my gifts at the same time. I finally made the long awaited discovery; Internet Marketing.

    Newbies Beware...

We've all heard the saying, "Fools rush in where angels fear to tread." Such is the case with internet marketing for one with no prior experience. It is indeed unchartered territory with numerous pitfalls, pranks and scams ready to engulf the naive, unwary web traveler. Who can resist the surrealistic appeal of instant riches, or, as you have undoubtedly seen hundreds of times, wealth building techniques, which are "guaranteed to succeed." Thousands a day are drawn into this quagmire. Very few are ever seen again. So what is the secret? Persistence, tenacity, and a willingness to believe in yourself. A turtle never got anywhere without sticking his neck out, just be on the lookout for someone with a hatchet.

    Promises, Promises...

What you see may not be what you get. Many times I have looked at a menu and made my choice with help from the accompanying photograph. You may have as well. How many times did the actual meal look like the picture? Not too often, I imagine. Same with internet marketing. Knowing that most folks will not take the bait if it appears too good to be true, websites throw in stipulations, provisos and payment plans. Be careful. Trust your instinct.

    Scam-a-lam-a-ding dong...

"Send me $40 and have 14 bazillions in your PayPal account in 20 minutes!"

"Earn $1000 a day stuffing envelopes!"

Again, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. No one gets something for nothing. There are lots of legitimate businesses on the internet that offer great deals on internet marketing tools. Like any other contrivance you will get out of it what you put into it. Internet marketing is a lot of work if you want to succeed.

    Life is a Highway...

It all comes down to this: can you afford to take a risk, or, better yet, can you afford not to? Time does not stop to allow infinite research opportunity. Do you feel a need for independence? Do you enjoy a challenge? Are you willing to take a leap into the unknown? Don't sell yourself short. We are not placed on this earth to fail, although failure is nothing to be feared. The trick is to learn and move on. There are no magic formulas and absolutely no guarantees, only obstacles to overcome and challenges to pursue. After all, where are you going to be in 10 years if you don't?

Internet Marketing - What Does And Doesn't Work? Part 2

Welcome back to our discussion on my experience of internet marketing. As I said before I hope to save you some money and time by learning from my stupidity. I will assume you read my first article and we will pick up where I left off. I only will talk about things I have tried personally.

    Blogs And Blog Comments

As I have written before about blogs the spider engines love to crawl them for content and you stand a much better chance of achieving higher rankings with a blog than a traditional website. Blogs are a lot like forums and allow you to become part of a community of others blogs with similar niches.

Commenting on other blogs and asking intelligent questions is an effective way to build back links to your blog. Only market yourself this way when you can be the solution to a question or problem posed by another blogger.

Having a "my blog network" list right on your blog front page will attract other bloggers to be a part of your network. Posting frequently to your blog will have the search engines visiting often. Blogger.com even pings your posts automatically for you to alert search engines of new content.

    Blasters

At one point I was faithfully blasting out ads to so called millions of opt in subscribers that were supposed to be out there hungry to join my program. That was until I was able to track hits to my affiliate link. I discovered that this yielded not even one hit after a week of blasting. Need I say more?

    Free Classified Ads

Although some people say they have had good response from this method this has not been my experience. I got some response from people trying to sell me on the program or marketing method they were in but no real interest in my program.

    Free For All Listings

A complete waste of time. Being found in these can actually hurt you in the search engines. Slap yourself if you are doing these presently and cease immediately.

    Forum Marketing

I have had good success with forums as they allow you to have a signature box at the bottom of all your posts. To join these go to www.bigboards.com and you will find lots. Faithfully make a few posts to these with intelligent questions or comments daily and watch your hits to your links climb. There are lots of topics and you should be able to find something to participate intelligently in.

    Article Marketing

Of course article marketing is the most effective way of building a web presence there is on the net. This is because people primarily use the internet for information. It took me years to discover this. It doesn't take long to learn how to write articles if you have a little motivation. Submitting articles to article directories is the wisest move you can make.

Concentrate on the big ones like Ezine Articles and Article Base. A lot of people are intimidated by this because they think they can't write. As the saying goes if you can make a grocery list you can write an article. Once you get going instead of submitting manually you can get some article submission software which allows you to submit much quicker. Writing is a learned skill and what you should do is get a mentor and you'll be off to the races in no time.

So I hope this helps you in your internet marketing. All comments or questions welcome.

Traffic Building - Classified Ads I

I am going to include these two together here, because the instructions for creating an ezine classified ad is basically the same as for creating any other kind of classified ad.

Ezine advertising is basically advertising that is sent out to other opt in email lists, or ezines.

Ezine advertising can be effective when three elements are carefully controlled: 1) the audience and niche of the ezine subscribers, 2) the nature of the email you send and 3) the responsiveness of the list itself.

Ezine advertising is generally more expensive the more responsive a list is, in general, but if you are mailing offers for dog houses to people who are on a weight loss ezine list, your response rate is probably going to be nill. So it is extremely important that you carefully match your offer with the demographics of the list.

It is also important (you should be sensing a theme here) that you test each and every ezine source. I have advertised in ezines where I only received one or two subscribers, and have advertised in other ezines where I have received 100's of subscribers.

Unfortunately, the only way to know for sure is to purchase a mailing, and see what happens. I generally recommend setting a specific budget for your ezine advertising, and then splitting that budget between several ezines. That way, you might have a few flops, and you might have a few that produce for you, but you will get some average response, and something to compare each ezine to- themselves.

The Foundation of Niche Web Site Promotion

Have you tried typing a word in the popular search engines in the Internet? A single word would most probably return millions and millions of result. There are so many web sites out there that cater to the same audience that you have. So to be on the edge and get attention, you need to initiate proper web site promotion.

And what could be the foundation for promoting a web site? It is plain simple – promote and market! Promote to a niche market and see what good it does to your site.

The first thing to promote and market your site is through optimizing the search engine. Make sure that the proper keywords are well distributed throughout your page. This will increase your chances of getting top page ranking and be seen by searches.

Another option is by gaining backlinks. The saying two heads are better than one will work in this manner. Your web site will be attractive to searches once you established backlinks. But make sure that you get links from popular sites to attain higher rankings.

And why does higher-ranking matter so much in web site promotion? Let us put it this way. If you are researching and typed a word, you are most likely to open the very top result. And should you find the information you needed, you stop from there.

Going back with the very basic, just focus on marketing and promoting to various niche sites. That does not entail an easy task but surely is a rewarding endeavor.

    Dominating Your Dot Com Niche

Remember in school where you had to complete projects that seemed as difficult as climbing Mount Everest?

At the end of the day, you still completed them, right? And it felt easy after everything!

All you had to do was some research, some copying and pasting of ideas at times, several hours, some designs for your project covers and outline, and you had a project ready to submit.

Believe it or not, this is the simple process that most Internet marketers use to launch products! It is not difficult if you tell yourself it isn't.

First, the research. How do you find your Internet niche? Let me unveil to you a simple free tool provided by Yahoo:

    inventory.overture.com

At this simple search engine, you can type the topic of your desire, and find how many searches there were in the last 30 days for that search term. It is like generating your view of the demand in the marketplace in a matter of seconds.

Next, you want to do some research on your competition. Type in the search term on Yahoo and see how many websites there are. If you see 11,000,000 websites, don't panic. Most of it is not your competition. Only a few are.

Type allintitle:yoursubject and you will narrow down your searches. This is a more realistic number of your real competition. Even then, it is safe to say only 10-20% of those sites are sites which fully cater to your niche.

There are other more advanced ways to research your niche, but this require more techniques and some investment. If you are just starting, the two ways I have described will give you more than an adequate view of the Internet marketplace of your choice!

    What Is An FFA Page?

FFA stands for "Free For All" and is the first place most
budding online marketers go to promote their website or
opportunity. Basically, it is a webpage that allows people
to post their URL link in exchange for receiving one email
message from the owner of the page. There are literally
thousands of FFA pages floating around the web.

Click below for an example of a typical FFA page

As you can see, there are many different links to websites
already listed, and the next one added will push the oldest
one out. Posting to an FFA page is a short-lived event,
so many marketers post to many different ones at the same
time, even using FFA submitters and other fancy programs.

In the online marketing world, posting to an FFA page
is at the bottom of the success ladder
    . I have not heard
of someone who has achieved good success using this method.

The trend these days is to have an FFA page of your
own, meaning you are the host and you are the one
sending out your single email message.

There are thousands of people posting to FFA pages every
day, and as the statistics go, about 95% of these people
are not successful at all. So a good percentage of these
people would be interested in finding a good way to market,
maybe even a good opportunity like yours.

On my FFA page above, I am getting about 150-200 confirmed
leads every day, and I haven't done any of the marketing
for it. It is all done by Traffic Wave, the company that
hosts my FFA page. All I did was sign up for Traffic Wave,
set up the FFA page and forget about it.

It's really quite easy to do, and there are certainly
other places where you can get your own FFA page. One
of those companies is called FFA Storm or FFA Blaze.
Another is AutoFFA, and the list goes on...

What is so great about Traffic Wave's FFA page is that
it is a part of an All-In-One marketing system, which
you can read about on the Traffic Wave Website.

They even have a complimentary 30-day Trial period, for
those of you who just want to pop in and kick the tires to
    see how everything works.

    Cheers,

Blogging Secrets #29 - How to Save Money With Your Blog

I have been blogging for almost 5 years and when I first started my overall business costs were down about 21%. I remember saying to myself "Why did I save money? It must be blogging"

It's so simple to save money from blogging that I can sum it in few words and they are

"Blogging will attract search engine traffic without paying a bundle for it." It really doesn't matter if your site is a fresh out of the oven or has been around for a while, by just adding a directory on your site for blogging and start to blog on a consistent basis you will get more search engine traffic.

You don't even need to know what blogging is or even pay someone to train your people on blogging. There are a lot of articles, how-to guides and communities out there who are willing to help you for free or less then $100.

You can benefit more by using RSS feeds and getting one-way links from blog directories. Add you blog addresses to all of the blog directories and you can guarantee more traffic to your site.

Bloggers love to link to each other and the more links you get to your blog the better rank you will get for your blog in the search engines. You can either write articles and distribute them on EzineArticles.com or ask for links from budding blogs. Linking is a great way to get search engine attention and click traffic.

The main reason why a blog ranks higher compare to normal sites is because the blogger is consistently adding more content to their blogs. I would suggest that in the beginning you add post almost daily to get the attention of the search engines. If you update frequently and have excellent content, then other sites might want to display your RSS feed and bring you more exposure to your blog and site.

A blog is a much cheaper way to study your target customer. When your blog get more popular all you need to do is to ask your readers if you have any questions for them and they will give the answer almost immediately. This cuts much of the survey fees which you are paying.

Yes it's easy just to post a link of a survey in your newsletter or site but a blog will create a sense of interactivity and the ability for a more two way interaction with your customers. Conversations can build bond and form stronger credibility for yourself and your company.

You will be spending less on advertising as your blog becomes more popular thus saving you tons of cost on advertising and marketing. You will saving money as your blog will retaining more customers to come back to your sites often to check on your blog updates.

How To Make An Honest Income Online Just By Submitting Articles

There is a fool proof method to earn a living online, and it dosen't take any money to get started other than an Internet connection and some time each day.

The power of the system is the compounding factor of it. After a few months, you will build up so much steam, that even if you want to stop making money, you can't. (really)

    The system is really simple-

    1. Find an affiliate product to promote in a broad niche (online gaming, online dating etc)

    2. Write 2 articles each day promoting that product

    3. Submit them to article directories all over the web, and include your affiliate link in your resource box (the resource box is the box at the end of the article)

Let's go through each step in detail.

    1. Find an affiliate product to promote in a broad niche (online gaming, online dating etc)

You can find an affiliate product to promote from sites like cj.com and linkshare.com. Simply choose a popular product and move on. We don't have time to be too anal about it here.

    2. Write 2 articles each day promoting that product.

This is the hard part where most people fail. But it's really quite easy. Simply look for articles on the web relating to your niche, and rewrite them in your own words. Just take some time to read the articles, and get the idea, then write it in your own words. All your time writing in English class finally came useful after all!

    3. Submit them to article directories all over the web, and include your affiliate link in your resource box (the resource box is the box at the end of the article)

Each day you will submit two articles to popular article directories like ezinearticles.com. Find five directories to submit to each day. After 6 months, if you are follow this plan, you will have about 1500 articles floating around the web with your affiliate link. In fact, expect more than that, because owners of ezines will grab your article from these article directories and post it on their ezines, further increasing the circulation rate.

This system is quite unstoppable and it's hard to fail if you follow it!

A Simple, FREE, Effective Way To Get Prospects To View Your Network Marketing Opportunity

This simple effective way of driving traffic to your site is article marketing. If you have ever read a magazine, this is the same thing except that it is a magazine on the internet, an electronic-zine.

When people read a magazine article and enjoyed the contents, what is the general reaction of the reader? They would think that you were an expert in the subject of course!

Once the reader finds out who wrote the article and they really wanted to know more, they would most likely want to read another article from the same writer, you!

For me personally, I like to stay fit. I subscribe to a mens health magazine and I repeatedly read a special column where the same writer answers questions about muscle building month after month.

Because I am familiar with the writer and he has established credibility with me through that magazine and through repeated exposure, I choose to buy his book out of hundreds of health books I see on the bookshelf.

The other authors on the shelf may be more qualified than my particular writer, but naturally, my human nature tends to believe more in somebody that I am more familiar with.

It is the same with ezine articles. You can write articles and submit them to ezine directories so that millions of online users can see what you have to offer them. And if they feel that your information is useful, you will be perceived as the authority.

When you submit enough quality articles a few things will happen. Traffic will be generated through your website, your subscriber list will grow, your online authority presence will grow, and most importantly, your bank account will grow!

Like a magazine, your success will come from advising readers about the different ways you can solve their problems by give them tips and techniques. This will attract more readers into visiting to your website and more readers mean more people subscribing to your list.

The articles you write will also need to be simple to communicate directly to your readers. And also, all you need to do is provide basic information about your topic. You do not need a 10 page report when writing articles.

So start making yourself known and write those articles so that you can get some traffic to your site! The more articles you write, the more traffic you will receive!

    Search Engine Optimization Company Selection

Your web site is up, functional, and looks good. You stare at it with much satisfaction until you look at the stats. Suddenly it occurs to you…you need visitors. Not just any visitors will do, you really need targeted interested visitors. What better way is there than to hire a search engine optimization company?

Search engine optimization is not performed by search engine optimization specialists that hold the secrets protected by a mysterious society. Search engine optimization is all about relevance and quality. How relevant is your web site? Does it provide new, useful, quality content? Does anybody link to it? Why do people need to link to your site?

Relevancy is often determined by wordage. The first objective of your selected SEO company should be to optimize the content of your page. Simply speaking, they need to improve the density of the keywords and key phrases while assuring that the wordage is formatted properly and that the site does not appear to be "keyword spamming".

Paragraphs will be altered (yet not removed), title tags improved, image tags added or modified, and user/robot navigation enhanced. From that time forward, links will be the name of the game.

Google puts heavy emphasis on links. It is their belief that a web site with more web sites linking to it will provide higher quality content. Usually, they are correct in this assumption. Therefore, your SEO should provide multiple ways to improve your link population. The best package will include a combination of link exchanges, article distribution, and press release distribution. Make sure they are sending your content to multiple locations and not only the locations they own.

Be ware of snake oil. If your search engine optimization company is proposing "propriety processes" they are full of (clear throat) creative substances. In short, there is no such thing. Search engine optimization is all about Relevant Content, Fresh Content, and Relevant Link Population. Anything beyond that is simply snake oil.

Now, certainly your search engine optimization company could use "proprietary software" (which our SEO firm does as well) but this is simply an application that the company custom built to simplify one of the techniques. To review, those techniques are improving the content relevancy, fresh content, and/or link population.

Deciding on a budget is also important. Unless your company is an upper small business (generates over $5 Million annually) or middle market/large company, you should expect to pay somewhere between $100.00-$1,500.00 a month depending on the competitiveness of your keywords, your site's size, and other variables.

Up front cost can range from $1,500.00-$10,000.00. To decide whether or not its worth it for you, simply ask yourself if you can afford it and if the proposed service makes sense. If you don't understand the SEO process, don't pay until the search engine optimization company has clearly explained it.

Don't buy into the short term guarantees. If someone promises you "next day number 1" or advocates falsehoods such as "we have a special relationship with the search engines" you can simply feed their proposal to your hungry shredder and shred away a lot of frustration.

Follow your gut, have realistic viewpoints, and check references. Always require disclosure of techniques and disregard all SEO companies that try to sell mysteries and snake oil. If you do this, you will enjoy a strong relationship with a good company that truly has the interest of your success at heart.

    A Few Overlooked Tips

When advertising a website try to think outside the box. Do things that make your advertisements stand out from the others. Make a joke, or tell someone they smell bad! Anything that draws someone's eye to your ad will increase your sales!

Its a no-brainer that buying low and selling high can make you a great profit very quickly. The hard part is finding a reliable wholesaler that actually IS a wholesaler. 99% of the wholesalers you find online are people posing as wholesalers that are actually charging more than wholesale price for their merchandise!

The best way to avoid getting ripped off is to NEVER LOOK FOR WHOLESALERS IN A SEARCH ENGINE! We can't stress that enough. Real wholesalers would never put themselves out there like that because there would be too many requests for merchandise from everyday people, and they could not make any bulk sales.

When selling items on eBay or some other online auctioning site, try offering a money back guarantee. Almost nobody will actually take advantage of it and its a great way to boost sales! Another technique is to be different. Tell people to go ahead and get another product, and when they find out how bad it is to get yours! CURIOSITY SELLS!!!!

If you plan on making money with the internet a good domain name IS A MUST! When deciding what to name your website try to use real English words in the domain name. If you can't get a good .com or .net with the domain name you want, then try to think up another name. .com and .net get the most traffic.

If you want to run your domain off of a dedicated server, then make sure you are running it off of a T1 connection. Anything slower then T1 such as cable, or DSL, will be way too slow at peak hours to keep a website up at a comfortable speed for visitors.
