How to Promote a Website with Offline Advertising Part II

Setting the stage from part I; the discussion was about a golf site you have. You have contacted other golfers who may want what you have to offer because they have problems such as a slice or putting 'yips', if they know that you are local and easily approachable. Who knows, it might even be the beginning of a new local business for you. Simply ask the golf clubs if your can put up a poster. The club pros might object, but that is when you have to show your salesmanship and perhaps even bring the pro into a joint venture that would benefit both of you.

For example, ask him or her to write up an ebook about how to cure some of the more common problems that the average golfer comes across. You do the marketing and they do the writing for a 50/50 split. They can promote the products to their club members, and you can do it online. Perfect!

Have you ever though of advertising in your local press? This can often be quite productive, though a lot depends on the product you are selling. If it's a skill such as car mechanics, language tuition or party items, then it could be very productive. If you have personal skills in any of these you could also find a good local customer base for what you have to offer. Some businesses, such as personal tuition of any form, cry out for local advertising. Most local newspapers have a classified ads section that you can use for this.
