I have been blogging for almost 5 years and when I first started my overall business costs were down about 21%. I remember saying to myself "Why did I save money? It must be blogging"

It's so simple to save money from blogging that I can sum it in few words and they are

"Blogging will attract search engine traffic without paying a bundle for it." It really doesn't matter if your site is a fresh out of the oven or has been around for a while, by just adding a directory on your site for blogging and start to blog on a consistent basis you will get more search engine traffic.

You don't even need to know what blogging is or even pay someone to train your people on blogging. There are a lot of articles, how-to guides and communities out there who are willing to help you for free or less then $100.

You can benefit more by using RSS feeds and getting one-way links from blog directories. Add you blog addresses to all of the blog directories and you can guarantee more traffic to your site.

Bloggers love to link to each other and the more links you get to your blog the better rank you will get for your blog in the search engines. You can either write articles and distribute them on EzineArticles.com or ask for links from budding blogs. Linking is a great way to get search engine attention and click traffic.

The main reason why a blog ranks higher compare to normal sites is because the blogger is consistently adding more content to their blogs. I would suggest that in the beginning you add post almost daily to get the attention of the search engines. If you update frequently and have excellent content, then other sites might want to display your RSS feed and bring you more exposure to your blog and site.

A blog is a much cheaper way to study your target customer. When your blog get more popular all you need to do is to ask your readers if you have any questions for them and they will give the answer almost immediately. This cuts much of the survey fees which you are paying.

Yes it's easy just to post a link of a survey in your newsletter or site but a blog will create a sense of interactivity and the ability for a more two way interaction with your customers. Conversations can build bond and form stronger credibility for yourself and your company.

You will be spending less on advertising as your blog becomes more popular thus saving you tons of cost on advertising and marketing. You will saving money as your blog will retaining more customers to come back to your sites often to check on your blog updates.
